10 Windows 7 licenses are sold every second!
After their failure with the Windows Vista operating systems it seams that Microsoft is very successful with the new Windows 7.
To support this statement, we are looking at the numbers, which are more than convincing: according to a report released a few weeks ago, Microsoft sells 10 Windows 7 licenses per second.
According to the representatives of the company, until now the company sold 175 million licenses in record time, which means that 15% of the total of personal computers in the world are using the new Windows 7 operating system.
So, according to these numbers, between June 23 – July 21, the company sold 25 million licenses, this means no less than 9,97 Windows 7 units per second.
Well, it seams that Apple is not the only company that recorded huge revenue. The sales of Windows 7 and Office 2010 generated revenue of 16 billion dollars in the second quarter which represents an increase with 22% compared to the same period of last year.
