After a period in which Google and the Chinese Government didn’t got along so well, the company managed to renew their license in China.

The problem appeared in January, when Google announced that they will remove the censorship that the Chinese Government demanded. After 2 months, other news came from the company which announced that they will close their operations in China. In all this time, Google redirected the google.cn visitors to the search page located on Hong Kong, where the search results were displayed without censorship.

Recently, the company removed this automatic redirect, in the hope that the Chinese Government will renew their license. This has happened and Google promised to offer to all the users the possibility to filter search results.
