Although Microsoft has managed to sell more than 360 million Windows 7 licenses since the release of this operating system, Windows XP continues to be the dominating operating system. To be more precise, Microsoft said that 74% of computers from companies offices are still using Windows 7. And all these operating systems on computer systems with 4.4 years age average.

The news came after Microsoft announced that they will no longer offer support for Windows XP Service Pack 2, which makes users want to migrate to SP3. Also, Microsoft announced the prolonging of the download period from Windows XP to Vista until 2020.

What is, however, the reason for which companies do not migrate to Windows 7? The lack of funds, the fact that employees have gotten used to using Windows XP? Or they are waiting for the release of Service Pack 1 to get better security ?
