Google created a experimental internet network capable of reaching transfer speeds of up to 1 GB per second, 100 times bigger than the speed used until now.
The network is undergoing testing in Silicon Valley and allows a network download speed of 300 Mbps and 100 Mbps, being also known as the fastest internet connection in the world.
So, according to some tests, a 95 MB movie trailer was downloaded in approximately 9 seconds. The classic internet speed is 13 Mbps.
The new service introduced by Google with a help of a fiber optic is already functional for over a month now in Palo Alto, California.
