The new smartphone released by Google and Samsung, Galaxy Nexus, was released in the UK but users already reported a few problems of the phone.

Most of them who complained said that the volume of the smartphone has variations, and the speaker suddenly stops working.

On a Android forum, a user told his problem. ” The volume went down, without touching the phone, and settings were unavailable for a few seconds.” The user wrote. Another user said ” I had this problem ever since i purchased the phone on November 17. It happened when i was using the 3G network, Wi-Fi or during the navigation”.

” I was awake in the morning and haven’t touched by phone when the alarm started to ring and stopped after one second. I thought this was weird and i checked the phone, the volume was 0″ another user said.

Google and Samsung reacted

Google and Samsung confirmed that there is a problem with many Galaxy Nexus devices. Samsung issued a public statement saying taht all complaints will be fixed. ” Regarding Galaxy Nexus we are aware that there is a problem and we have found the solution. We’ll update the devices as soon as possible” Samsung said.

Apple Also had Problems

The problems of the new smartphones are not something new. Apple also faced some problems after the release of the iPhone 4S. The biggest problem was the battery autonomy, but Apple released a iOS 5 update.

The “war” between the two companies increased lately, and the last 2011 trimester marking the historic moment when samsung managed to sell more than Apple. So, Samsung sold 27,8 million smartphones compared to 17,1 million sold by Apple and 16,8 million sold by Nokia.
